Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information KLYROO ("we", "us") — a technology intelligence and discovery platform operated under the KLYROO trading name — collects when you use klyroo.info, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We keep this policy factual: it describes only what the site actually does today.

Information you give us voluntarily

Some features let you send us information directly. We use it only to review and respond to your submission:

  • Suggestion / feedback form (/suggest): the suggestion type, your message, and optionally your name, email address, a reason and a reference link.
  • Advertising request form (/advertise): company / brand name, contact name, business email, and optionally phone number, website, placement interests, budget range, campaign details and a reference link.

We use these details solely to process your inquiry and, where relevant, to respond to you. We do not publish them, and we do not use them for marketing lists.

Information processed automatically

  • IP address (server-side): when you submit a form, your IP address is processed on our servers for abuse prevention — rate limiting and duplicate detection. It is never shown publicly or returned by any public API.
  • Analytics events: with your consent (see below), we record aggregate usage events such as page views, article views, internal searches, scroll depth, engagement, clicks on deals or sponsored placements, and form-submission counts. Submission events carry only a random transaction ID and non-identifying counters — never the contents of your form.

Google Analytics, Google Ads and Consent Mode

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate site usage and Google Ads to measure advertising conversions (for example, when a new advertising request is genuinely submitted). Both run through a single Google tag with Google Consent Mode v2:

  • Analytics and advertising storage are set to "denied" by default before any Google tag configuration runs.
  • Until you make a choice in our consent banner, Google receives only anonymous, cookieless consent signals — no analytics or advertising cookies are set.
  • Advertising-related data is redacted while advertising consent is denied, and URL passthrough is used only so that campaign attribution (such as gclid) continues to work without cookies.
  • You can change your choice at any time via "Privacy Settings" in the footer.

Cookies and local storage

  • Consent preference: your analytics/advertising choice is stored in your browser's local storage (key klyroo_consent) so we don't ask again on every visit. It contains only your choices and a timestamp — no personal data.
  • Google cookies (such as _ga) are set only after you grant analytics consent.
  • Admin area: the content-management login stores an authentication token in your browser; it is used only by site administrators.

Third-party services

  • Google — Analytics 4, Ads conversion measurement and web fonts.
  • Content images — article and deal images are loaded from third-party image providers through our own image proxy, so your browser talks to our servers, not directly to those providers.
  • Deals data — product listings are gathered server-side from public marketplace data; no personal information about you is sent to those marketplaces by this process. Clicking a deal takes you to the retailer's site, which has its own privacy policy.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell your personal information.
  • We do not send your name, email, phone number or message contents to Google Analytics or Google Ads.
  • We do not use advertising cookies or personalised advertising before you consent.

Data retention

We do not apply a fixed retention period. Information is kept only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, for applicable legal or business requirements, for security and abuse prevention, or until you ask us to delete it where applicable.

Your rights and choices

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information you have submitted to us by emailing support@klyroo.info. We will honour reasonable requests, subject to applicable legal or legitimate operational requirements. You can also withdraw analytics/advertising consent at any time via "Privacy Settings" in the footer.

Children

KLYROO is a general-audience technology publication and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
